五道口，看美剧学五个地道实用的表达！

1. rusty (S05E01)

a little rusty. rusty 常见为生锈的。这是表示知识技能常不用，荒废，生疏了。

久不打字，现在有些生疏了：my typing is a little rusty after the long break .

好久没用英语，一开口又变得生疏了：my English is a little rusty because I am out of practice. 很久没游泳，现在非常生疏了：my swimming skills are very rusty.

2. slow my roll (S05E01)

slow one's roll, 同slow down, relax, calm down, 慢慢来，冷静一下，别激动。

主播伙伴立里讲过：breezy 放松的（见39期）

玩游戏时，队友一顿操作猛如虎，作为一个菜鸟，你完全跟不上，想说，你能不能悠着点：could you slow your roll?

朋友在家快憋不住了，说自己心态要崩了，想安慰说，淡定： slow your roll.

3. max (S05E01)

max 为maximum的缩写，口语中可表示最多，不超过：at the most, no more than

跟朋友的见面迟到了，发消息说，5分钟就到, 5分钟的路程：

five  minutes, max; five minutes away.

这辆巴士，最多能容纳20人：the bus can hold 20 people max.

朋友让我推荐款1000元内的手机：she wants to buy a new phone, 1,000 Yuan max.

现象级英语晨读的伙伴分享了tops，比如，去车站，最多花费我1小时：

it takes me one hour tops to arrive at the station. 

4. talk him out of doing sth (S05E02)

talk sb out of doing sth：劝服某人不要做某事。

朋友最近有辞职的想法，但我想劝他放弃：

He wants to quite the job, but I tried to talk him out of it.

我想劝朋友不要吸烟：I tried to talk him out of smoking.

劝某人做某事：talk sb into doing sth.

真不敢相信，我居然说服她去健身了：I can't believe I talk her into working out.

说服：convince, persuade. 

5. be back in the saddle (S05E02)

Congratulations. You're back in the saddle: 恭喜，东山再起了。

be back in the saddle: 重回马鞍上，意思就是重振旗鼓，重归正轨。

重归工作的感觉真好：it feels good to be back in the saddle at work.
