• 塞缪尔．乌尔曼 (1840-1924) 生于德国犹太人家庭，11 岁时移居美国，70 多岁才开始写作，题材包括爱、自然、宗教、家庭、朋友等，其中以《青春》(Youth)，亦即此名言的出处，最为知名，美国麦克阿瑟将军生前也视其为座右铭。
