我曾在伦敦南沃克街的一间意大利餐馆做过兼职，上身制服里面是一件白色衬衫和，外面是黑色马甲。袖子上有品牌象征的橄榄叶，胸前是有我们烫印店名“VAPIANO”的蝶形领结。我们还配有手帕。这些都由店铺提供。而下身是黑色长裤和黑色皮鞋，这些由我们自己购买，只要黑色就行。当我上班时我都要这样着装。我穿着的时候觉得非常舒适，而且打扮得精神客人给的小费也会更多。

Last summer holiday, I got a chance to work as a part-time waiter at Vapiano, an Italian restaurant on Southwark Street, London.

The first thing that I learned there was itsdress code（着装要求）. My manager introduced Vapiano’s uniform and culture to me. The upper part was a white T-shirt on the inside and a black waistcoat on the outside. I was told that they were made of pure cotton and silk. As the traditional symbol of this brand, gray olive leaves wereembroidered（刺绣） in a line on the edge of the sleeves. A rediron-on transfer（烫印） of ‘Vapiano’ showed on our blackbow tie（蝶形领结）. These were directly provided by the shop and everyone who has ever worked for this brand is welcomed to treasure the clothes. We also had a soft handkerchief in our pockets. It greatly showed the brand’s consideration for us. Comparatively, the lower part was less serious, as long as it was black trousers with black shoes. Thus, I bought them for myself after I passed the final interview.

During my work time, I wore this uniform to warmly treat my guests. Some of them admired my tidy dressing. This uniform was fabulous and comfortable. Seemingly, it brought me a strong psychological cue, namely the feeling that I was the best and the most professional waiter right there. I also realized the fact that the more I was confident, the more gratuity I could have. Up to now, I’m so proud to share what I have experienced with my family and friends. I wish I could have such a gorgeous shop in the future.
