Having recently split up with his girlfriend, Japanese billionaire Maezawa has launched an online appeal for a female "life partner" to accompany him on SpaceX's maiden tourist voyage - a slingshot trip around the moon tentatively scheduled for 2023. 

最近刚和女友分手的日本亿万富翁、时尚大亨前泽友作在线征一名女性"人生伴侣"，陪他一起踏上Space X的首次月球旅行——这次绕月飞行之旅初步定在2023年。

Writing on his website, the fashion mogul said he thought the lunar trip was a good chance to "seriously face up to idea of 'continuing to love one woman' which I'd only really had a hazy image about."

According to the conditions listed on the website, applicants must be single women aged 20 or over, with a "bright personality" and always positive, have an interest in going to space - and "wish for world peace."

The deadline for applications is Jan 17, with the final decision scheduled to be made by Maezawa at the end of March. The matchmaking search will be filmed for a new documentary, Full Moon Lovers, which will be shown on streaming service AbemaTV.

Windows 7 support ends

Cyber-security experts are urging Windows 7 users to upgrade their operating system. Microsoft stopped supporting Windows 7 from Tuesday so that it can focus on "newer technologies". 

网络安全专家敦促Windows 7用户升级操作系统。微软从本月14日开始停止支持Windows 7，以专注于"新技术"。

As a result, Windows 7 users will no longer receive the all-important security updates and patches that keep their machines safe.

One in four Windows users is running Windows 7, according to statistics website StatCounter. Without continued software and security updates, Windows 7 machines are more likely to be infected with viruses and malware, Microsoft wrote on its website.

"And the best way to experience Windows 10 is on a new PC." It is possible to install Windows 10 on old PCs but Microsoft warns that it may not run smoothly.

China, US sign trade deal

China and the US signed the long-awaited phase-one trade deal at the White House on Thursday morning Beijing time, capping off a bruising battle that had lasted nearly two years. 

北京时间16日凌晨，中美在白宫签署了备受期待的第一阶段经贸协议，给两国在经贸领域持续近两年的激烈对抗划上休战符。

The signing signaled a thaw in economic and trade relations between the world's two largest economies. 

协议的签署预示着世界最大的两个经济体之间的经贸关系趋向缓和。

The deal, agreed to in mid-December after a dozen rounds of negotiations led by China's top trade negotiator and Vice-Premier Liu He and US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, was finally closed at a ceremony in the East Room of the White House that was attended by leading US officials and about 200 representatives of business, government and diplomatic circles.

Russian government resigns

俄总理称政府全体辞职

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev announced the resignation of his government, the Kremlin press service said Wednesday. 

克里姆林宫新闻局15日称，俄罗斯总理梅德韦杰夫宣布其政府全体辞职。

The decision was announced after President Vladimir Putin addressed the Federal Assembly. Putin outlined a series of fundamental changes in his address, Medvedev said. 

这项决定是在总统普京在联邦会议上发表讲话后宣布的。梅德韦杰夫表示，普京在讲话中概述了一系列根本性变化。

"In this context, it's obvious that we, as the government of the Russian Federation, should provide the president of our country with the opportunity to make all decisions necessary for this," he added.

Putin proposed the appointment of Medvedev as a deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, while he will chair the organ.
