8-5 看娱乐节目还是教育节目

Some people prefer watching entertainment TV programs, others prefer watching educational programs. Which do you prefer? Explain why. 

I prefer watching educational programs on TV. First, this is a better use of time. To be honest, I think most entertainment programs are silly, at times naive. I cannot learn anything meaningful from them. And since I only have very limited time to watch TV, I’d rather watch something I can learn from. Second, many educational programs can also be very entertaining. For example, many programs from Discovery Channel, History Channel and BBC are wonderful to watch. Camera crews spend years in the jungles shooting wild animals that we don’t get to see in the zoo. I think programs like these are truly amazing to see.
