Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg has been taken to task by a German railway company after tweeting a photo of herself sitting on the floor at the end of a train carriage surrounded by suitcases and backpacks. 

因在推特上发布了一张自己坐在火车车厢尽头被行李箱和背包包围的照片，瑞典环保活动人士格蕾塔•桑伯格遭到一家德国铁路公司的指责。

The 16-year-old drew sympathy after posting that she was traveling on "overcrowded trains" on her way home from the UN climate change conference in Madrid. 

16岁桑伯格发帖自己在马德里参加完联合国气候变化大会后，乘坐"人满为患的火车"踏上了回家的路，她的帖子引来一片同情之声。

Responding, rail operator Deutsche Bahn said it was pleased to have her on board their eco-friendly train and welcomed her support "in the fight against climate change".

But the company added: "It would have been even nicer if you had also reported how friendly and competently you were looked after by our team at your seat in first class."

Thunberg was recently named Time magazine's Person of the Year for her efforts to press governments and others to take more rapid action in combating climate change.

737 MAX production halted

US airplane giant Boeing Company announced Monday it will temporarily halt production of 737 MAX jets beginning in January. 
美国飞机巨头波音公司16日宣布，该公司自1月起暂停生产737 MAX喷气式客机。

The decision, made by Boeing's board, follows news last week that the Federal Aviation Administration would not approve of resumed flights of the 737 MAX airplanes before 2020. 

波音董事会是在上周曝出美国航空管理局2020年前不会批准该机型复飞的消息后做出上述决定的。

It did not announce any employee layoffs as a result of the suspension decision, saying the workforce related to the 737 MAX production at its final assembly facility, Washington State, will be temporarily assigned to other teams in Puget Sound. 

波音未因此次停产决定宣布裁员，该公司表示在总装工厂与737 MAX生产相关的员工将暂时调到普吉特海湾的其他团队工作。

More than 800 jets have been grounded worldwide since mid-March 2019 after investigators found flawed flight control software on the 737 MAX partially responsible for the crashes of two MAX jets in Indonesia and Ethiopia.

Vaccine system gets deadline

疫苗追溯体系即将建成

China has required the completion of a national vaccine tracking system before March 31, 2020, to enable the whole-process traceability of all vaccines on the market, according to a recent circular. 

国家药品监督管理局和国家卫生健康委近日联合发布通知，要求在2020年3月31日前，全国建成疫苗信息化追溯体系，实现所有上市疫苗全过程可追溯。

The circular, jointly issued by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and the National Health Commission, specified the responsibilities of the NMPA, provincial drug regulators, provincial health authorities and authorized manufacturers in building such a system. 

通知明确了国家药监局、省级药品监管部门、省级卫生健康部门以及有资质的药企在追溯体系中各自承担的责任。

The NMPA is working to launch a collaborative service platform, which will be connected with online systems for immunization programs and those for vaccine data, to integrate information of vaccine production, circulation and inoculation, the circular said. 

通知指出，国家药监局将致力于打造疫苗追溯协同服务平台，该平台将连接免疫规划在线系统和疫苗数据系统，国家药监局还将负责整合疫苗生产、流通和接种等信息。

The NMPA and provincial drug regulators will build the national and provincial supervision systems for vaccine traceability, it added. Beijing, Tianjin, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Hainan and Chongqing were pilots in building the system, the circular said. These provincial-level areas were required to connect regional vaccine tracking systems with the national collaborative service platform before Dec 31, 2019, and begin to feed the platform information by Jan 31, 2020.

通知称，国家药监局和各省级药品监管部门将分别建设国家和省级疫苗信息化追溯监管系统。通知要求，北京、天津、内蒙古、上海、江苏、海南、重庆先行试点，率先完成疫苗信息化追溯体系建设，并于2019年12月31日前完成地方疫苗追溯体系与国家协同服务平台的衔接，2020年1月31日前开始向协同平台提供地方疫苗全过程追溯信息。

92 foreign students expelled

武汉大学清退92留学生

Wuhan University in Hubei province recently expelled 92 overseas students. Hu Yanchu, head of Wuhan University's School of International Education, said these 92 students were undergraduates and graduate students. 

位于湖北省的武汉大学近日清退了92名外国留学生。武汉大学国际教育学院院长胡焰初表示，这92名学生中有本科生也有研究生。

Some of the students were expelled for having failed to register within the stipulated time, some for skipping mandatory school activities without submitting leave applications and some for failing in their academic courses. 

有些学生因超过学校规定期限未注册被清退，有些学生因未请假就不参加学校规定的教学活动或学业不合格而被清退。

The university would examine foreign students twice a year since 2014, and in past years, some unqualified students have been ordered to leave. 

自2014年以来武汉大学每年都会审查外国留学生两次，过去几年里部分不合格留学生已被校方清退。

In 2017, 184 students were ordered to leave, and in 2018, there were 109. In recent years, the country's education authority has issued regulations to require universities to strengthen the management of foreign students, to not only attract more students, but also keep an eye on quality.

2017年、2018年分别有184名和109名留学生被清退。近年来我国教育部门发布规定，要求高校加强对外国留学生的管理，不仅要吸引更多学生，也要注重学生质素。
