用对比思维阅读

姐妹两个人针对Edward评价的对谈篇幅不短，但如果从总体把握，姐妹两人的观点都能对应上了，这样用对比思维阅读不仅一下子对姐妹俩看人待物的有了清晰的对比认识，还能为提升阅读速度。

选段解析 

原文选段1:

I assure you he is by no means deficient in natural taste, though he has not had opportunities of improving it. Had he ever been in the way of learning, I think he would have drawn very well. He distrusts his own judgment in such matters so much, that he is always unwilling to give his opinion on any picture; but he has an innate propriety and simplicity of taste, which in general direct him perfectly right.

奥斯汀的爱情智慧

《理智与情感》本书书名的核心词是“sense”和“sensibility”，很多人在分析主人公姐妹俩的时候，会简单地把这个故事看成姐姐代表“sense”、妹妹代表“sensibility”。但如果你这么看，那就把故事看简单了。两位主人公身上都有理性和感性的一面，而奥斯汀想通过作品主张的是理性与感性的均衡。

很多英国文学的故事，女主人公都有着理智或者情感的一面，比如《呼啸山庄》中的女主人公，虽然理智告诉她不能跨越阶级跟自己心爱的人在一起，但她的情感就是牵扯折磨着她，直到短暂生命的终点；再比如像《简爱》，当她发现自己不小心成了第三者的时候，面对罗切斯特痛彻心扉的恳求，在最痛苦的时候，她依然凭着自己强大的理智，选择深夜独自离开。
