A Welsh seaside town plans to install public toilets with measures to prevent people having sex inside. Porthcawl, on Wales' southern coast, plans to replace its public toilets with models that include a squealing alarm, the doors shooting open, and a chilly spray of water. The toilets will cost Porthcawl Town Council ￡170,000, while users will pay an as yet undetermined fee to access them.

The toilets have also been designed to prevent rough sleepers taking shelter inside: If a user remains in the toilet for too long, a warning message will play, while the lights and heating will switch off.

Phone users install 56 apps

China's smartphone owners installed 56 apps on average in the second quarter this year as the number of people using the mobile internet reached 1.134 billion by the end of June, according to a report by Aurora Mobile, a leading mobile developer service provider in China. 
近日，国内顶尖移动开发者服务提供商激光移动发布的一份报告显示，今年二季度，我国智能手机使用者人均安装56款应用，截至6月底，移动互联网使用人数已达11.34亿。

Mobile phone users spent 4.7 hours with various apps per day on average, with instant messaging apps the most popular software in the first half of the year, followed by short video apps, said the report. It also showed people spent less time on news apps since the second quarter, down about 1.1 percentage points from the previous quarter. 
报告称，移动手机用户平均每天使用各类应用耗时4.7小时，上半年最受欢迎的软件为即时通讯应用，其次是短视频应用。报告还显示，二季度以来，人们花在新闻应用上的时长有所减少，较上季度约下降1.1个百分点。

Growth was registered in time spent on shopping mall apps, surpassing the time used in online reading. Among entertainment apps, users spent most of their time on online videos.

Gun found in FedEx parcel

Police in Fuzhou, Fujian province, said on Sunday they had seized a handgun found in a FedEx parcel and launched an investigation into the case. The parcel, carried by the US express delivery service provider, was shipped to a sporting goods company in Fujian from an American client, according to a statement released by the public security bureau of the city's Jin'an district on its Sina Weibo account. 
福建省福州市警方18日表示，已将美国快递服务提供商联邦快递的包裹中发现的枪支扣留，并对此事立案调查。根据福州市公安局晋安分局在新浪微博账号上发布的声明，这个联邦快递承运的包裹是由一美国客户寄出，收件方是福建某运动用品公司。

The gun was discovered in the package and seized by Fuzhou police, the statement said without releasing further details of the contents of the parcel.
