Don’t judge a book by its cover 

別以貌取人

例子：

1.As they always say, don’t judge a book by its cover.

大家都常說， 別以貌取人。

2.We all know that we should never judge a book by its cover, but in reality people do.

我们都知道不应该以貌取人，但在现实生活中人们还是会这么做。

3.Sally is only 8 years old, but she is very mature, so it shows you, you can’t judge a book by its cover.

Sally虽然只有8岁，但是她非常成熟，这说明我们不能以貌取人。

知识点二：

Don’t be superficial 

別那麼膚淺

例子：

1. She’s just superficial.

她只是膚淺而已。

A：Why do you like her?

你為啥喜歡她呢？

B：Cuz she’s super hot and pretty.

她超性感超美的

A：Oh man, you’re so superficial. 

天啊你好膚淺啊！

知识点三：

Looks aren’t everything.

外表不代表一切

例子：

1. Don’t be superficial, cuz looks aren’t everything.

別那麼膚淺啊外表又不是一切。

2. My mom likes to say ‘ looks aren’t everything’, but I don’t really buy it.

我媽老喜歡說，外表不代表一切，但是我真的不信。

3. Looks aren’t everything, so I think I’ll just start reading more books now. 

他們說外表不代表一起，所以我覺得我應該多讀點書現在。

First impressions count. 

第一印象很重要

例子：

1. I don’t care what others say, but first impressions count.

我不管人家怎麼說但是我覺得第一印象非常重要。

2. First impressions count, so put on some make up and try to wear your most beautiful dress.

第一印象很重要，所以現在快化妝穿上你最美的裙子。

A：Well, let me tell you something, inner beauty is more important.

我跟你說內在美才更重要。

B：Whatever man, first impressions always count.

我不管老弟，第一印象永遠最重要。
