本·卫肖 | 我喜欢悲伤的东西

I really love sad things... I love sad music, even though I have a very happy life, but I’m drawn into those things in art.

我特别喜欢悲伤的东西。我喜欢伤感的音乐，尽管我的生活很幸福，可我会不由自主地被艺术的悲伤氛围所吸引。

The first movie I remember seeing is probably Oliver, the musical. And I remember that I used to act out the characters, particularly Fagin. And I also really remember loving the moment when Nancy gets murdered, for some reason.

我看的第一部电影应该是音乐剧《雾都孤儿》，记得以前我常扮演剧中角色，演的最多的是费金，我还尤其喜爱剧中南希被杀的那一幕，也不知道是为啥。

We used to make up our own plays, we used to devise our own pieces. We did a version of Hamlet, and I played Hamlet. That was when I was about 16 by then, I think there’s something about that play that really speaks to 16 year-old boys probably anyway.

当时我们得自己做服装造型，设计自己的作品。我们曾演过《哈姆雷特》，而我演的是哈姆雷特。那时候我只有16岁，我觉得这部剧有某种特质，能够真正戳中一位16岁男孩的内心。

I sort of had a bit of late education in films. I didn’t really start...I wish I did for myself, but probably not until I left drama school, and then I started watching Marlon Brando those great people. I really love Jimmy Stewart. I love him in Vertigo. He is so clear, he is so transparent. I think he is an absolutely beautiful actor.

我在电影上起步有点晚，没有很早涉足，但我希望自己有啦。直到我离开戏剧学校才开始接触电影，那时候我开始看马兰·白兰度的影片还有那个年代的伟大演员。我特别喜欢吉米·斯图亚特，我爱他在《迷魂记》中的表演。他真的好干净，清澈透明他是一位太美好的演员。

I don’t even really consider myself a movie star, I don’t know what I am. You realise that some of things that you’re feeling as a person, they can be used for something, for something bigger than yourself and you can express yourself, but through someone else’s words. I suppose that kind of things struck me very strongly.

我不觉得自己是个电影明星，也不知道自己算是什么。直到最终才领悟你真实体会到的那些感受，它们是有价值有意义的，比个人更宏大的意义。你可以尽情地表达自我，只不过你讲述的是剧本台词。我觉得正是这种东西深深地触动了我！
