Do what you love

Life lessons are full of wisdom because they often have to be learned the hard way. However, the hardest part about that process is realizing that sometimes not every opportunity lasts forever. You finally “get it” long after the fact. If possible, it’s best to learn these things sooner rather than later. 

生活中的教训充满智慧，因为很多道理都是在碰壁之后才获得的。然而，这个过程中最困难的部分是，认识到并非每一个机会都是永恒的。每次都是事后你才“明白”了。如果可能的话，有些道理我们知道的越早越好。

1.If you want to “do what you love,” you have to work three times as hard as everyone else. Most people do not get to spend their lives doing whatever it is they love. Instead, they do what they are told they should do, or what their parents or town or friends or peers suggest that they do. Or they simply pursue nothing close to their heart at all. 

首先，如果你想“做你喜欢做的事”，你必须付出别人三倍的努力。大多数人都无法做到，用毕生时间去做他们所爱的事情。相反，他们一直在做着别人要求他们做的事情，或者他们的父母、朋友或同龄人建议他们做的事。或者他们根本不追求任何接近他们内心的事情。

But if you want to “do what you love,” you need to see that as a privilege, not an expectation. Those people are not the majority. So if that’s what you truly want, you have to put in the work now.

但如果你想“做你喜欢做的事”，你需要把这看作是一种特权，而不一种期望。大多数人都无法享有这种特权。所以如果这是你真正想要的，你必须加倍努力。
