Youshould say:

·         where it is

·         when and who you went with

·         what it is like

·         and explain why you think you wanted to visit it.

As you knowthere are many historical buildings in China. I visited a few of the mostfamous ones, the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Terracotta Army, and some others. I haveto say, the one that impresses me the most is the Great Wall.

I hadalways wanted to visit the Great Wall. I finally went for the first time in2013 with some foreign friends. We didn’t go to the touristy part of the wall inBadaling, instead, we went to a partwhere the wall hadn’t been restored. It’s far out of the city of Beijing. We arrived in the afternoon andstayed at a local farmhouse at the foot of the mountain overnight. The nextmorning, we got up early to climb the wall.

We took theshortest hiking path, which was 5hours long. It’s one of the best hiking experiencesin my life. It was an amazing day as well. I was blown away by the view atop the mountains. Because we went to a rural portion of the wall, we could seethe history right under our feet. The wall was covered with bushes. Rocks were falling off while weclimbed some parts. Yet after hundreds of years of erosion by nature, the wall still stood there.

Im really glad my first experience on the wall was a part that hasnt been restored. Iwould recommend others to do the same if they want to visit the Great Wall too,but do hire a local guide to give youinstructions. It can be a little dangerous.
