How hasthe countryside changed in China?

There havebeen some earth-shattering changes. In the past, the countryside of China couldbe described as dirty, disordered, and underdeveloped. But since about a decadeago, the Chinese government seemed have realised the importance of ruraldevelopment, and thus they poured in huge sums of investment to revamp therural areas. These efforts all paid off today. If you go to any villages inChina, you will see that they all have a new look now. Not too fancy. but I thinit is fair to say that they are moderately wealthy nowadays.
