Hi kids, today I’m wearing kind of formal clothes.

小朋友们，今天我穿得比较正式。

So what do you think our topic is?

Well, as you know, it’s weddings.

今天我们要谈到婚礼。

So did you know there’s two songs that are played almost every wedding?

你们知道吗？有两首歌几乎所有的婚礼都能听到。

The first song is played during the wedding as the bride walks down the aisle.

wedding，婚礼。

bride，新娘。

aisle，过道。

The other song is played when the bride and groom leave the wedding.

第二首歌是放在新娘和新郎离开的时候。

groom，新郎。

Now the interesting thing is the songs weren’t composed for weddings.

但是，这些歌不是为了婚礼而创作的。

The first song that played is called the Bridal Chorus.

第一首歌的名字叫《婚礼合唱》。

It was composed by Wagner for the opera Lohengrin.

它是由Wagner为歌剧Lohengrin创作的。

Princess Victoria played it at her wedding.

Princess Victoria在她的婚礼放了这首歌。

And afterwards, the song became incredibly popular in England.

然后，在英国，这首歌就特别受欢迎。

The second song is called the Wedding March.

第二首歌的名字叫《婚礼进行曲》。

Now who wrote the Wedding March?

The Wedding March was written by Mendelssohn for a part in Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

它的创作者叫Mendelssohn，它是为了莎士比亚的一个戏剧A Midsummer Night’s Dream创作的。

During the play, it was played during a wedding scene.

戏剧中，在一场婚礼上，他们演奏了这首歌。
